It is never too late to go on a romantic trip, to change the routine and to “unplug” yourself for a while. There is no need to travel long distances or to go to five stars hotels, sometimes a one-day tour to a place with natural beauty, is just enough.

We created this guide with options for you to go out and visit all of the hidden places of each canton of Costa Rica, and at the same you can ignite the flame of love as well.

Bosque de Prusia (Prusia’s Forest)

This is a great option for a romantic walk while you enjoy of a beautiful day in the middle of the vegetation, the more than 16km of Prusia’s forest can lead you to that tour that you have been looking for, and you can feel participant of the land that is part of the National Park Irazú.

Laguna Manuel

Surrounded by cypress trees this private place, the lagoon Manuel is perfect to go with your significant other, located at a height of 2,000 mts.

icono-map-150x150How to get there?: located in Cartago, on the South Inter-American highway towards the Cerro de la Muerte, right hand from the gas station El Empalme going to Santa María de Dota a route of 8.1km to get to the place.

turista-150x150Services: enjoy a hike of 20 to 30 minutes throughout the lagoon, the path is of about 1.5km.

In the Manuel lagoon you will find picnic places, the place is cozy and there are bathrooms available; and if what you are looking for is a camping place then this is the perfect area.

You can see ducks, squirrels, frogs, and a variety of insects in here.

La ventolera: 

From here you can see a large proportion of the Central Valley, it has an irresistible view where you can take a few pictures to have that memory forever.

Catarata del Toro

 Right in the middle of the mountains and the forest, you will find this beautiful waterfall which falls 180 meters.
